Wyman’s is the preferred supplier of IQF wild blueberries to premier companies around the world. Wyman’s reputation is built around delivering to those customers a combination of quality, food safety and value unmatched in our industry.

Quality

Wyman’s sources the bulk of its fruit from our own fields. In addition, we receive fruit from many small independent growers and Co-ops. We are the only wild blueberry processor that incorporates a Quality Incentive Plan into our grower compensation.

Wyman’s processing plants (2 in Maine, 1 on Prince Edward Island) operate 24hrs per day, 7 days per week during the harvest season. Nearly all fresh fruit received is IQF (Individual Quick Frozen) processed within 24 hours of harvest, locking in fresh fruit flavor and character. A state of art processing system removes unwanted berries, leaves, and stems before the freezing line, and laser scanners and other proprietary equipment remove any remaining defects after freezing.

Our quality is monitored closely by Wyman’s trained professionals and by outside auditors. Wyman’s has proudly achieved the highest rating (Superior) from the American Institute of Baking (AIB) for 11 consecutive years. Wyman’s products are kosher certified

Food Safety

Wyman’s fruit receiving program allows for traceability of all fruit sold. All Wyman’s fruit is thoroughly washed and sanitized before freezing. As a further precaution, the fruit is extensively tested for pathogens or pesticide residuals. In-line controls such as metal detectors are used throughout our processing lines.
