Recipes: Strawberry Topping for Shortcakes, Pancakes, or Waffles

Thaw berries overnight in refrigerator or defrost in microwave about 3 minutes followed by 30 seconds on high (thaw berries in bowl, not in the bag). Mash berries lightly, leaving some berries whole. Sprinkle with sugar to taste, about 1-3 tsp. per 15 oz. Top warm shortcakes, pancakes or waffles with berry mixture. Dollop with whipped cream. About 4-5 servings per bag.
